| Words from Our Volunteers "When I am out picking up art materials for Dreaming Zebra and I get to speak with the people about their donations, and tell them where their materials will be going, I see them light up with excitement. When I first heard about the foundation I knew it was one I wanted to be part of and had no problem diving in head first. Knowing that art materials and musical instruments are going into the hands of the kids in the greater Portland area and in areas around the nation makes it quite easy and very satisfying to be a volunteer. I think about how many budding artists and musicians there are with their muses calling out for them to create and perform. What if we can reach them early and place these supplies and instruments into their hands? What if we couldn't get these donations to them? Where would they end up? Where would I be without my own muse? I know how art can help a young person make it through a rough and even abusive time. I have a passion for this foundation and I know that it's about the kids.
